Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping for college football season quite like that first shot of College Gameday, and the crew at ESPN has taken over College Station this week for the matchup between No. 20 Texas A&M and No. 7 Notre Dame.

You can’t have College Gameday without Lee Corso, and Corso once again got a huge reaction from the crowd after making his selection for Saturday’s game.

Corso, being the showman that he is, chose Notre Dame in front of the College Station crowd and came out dressed as a leprechaun alongside Notre Dame’s mascot and hit an Irish Jig while selecting Notre Dame to take down A&M.

Lee Corso is now and forever will be a National treasure.

Fans were delighted to see Corso until he pulled this stunt, as the 89-year-old icon is now in his 38th year at ESPN and still has his fastball.

Choosing the road team is a classic Corso move to rile up the raucous College Station crowd and even at 89 years old he can still hit an Irish Jig with the best of them.

Corso has been a panelist on College Gameday since its inception in 1987 and is still going strong alongside his co-hosts.

A&M has playoff aspirations after a disappointing 7-5 season a year ago and will be looking for a statement win over a top opponent to kick off its season and stake its claim as being worthy of making the 12-team bracket at year’s end.

As of now, A&M is Notre Dame’s only ranked opponent until they see Florida State on November 9th, and the Fighting Irish have one of their easiest schedules in recent memory as they look to make the playoff as well.
