Everyone is having fun with College Football 25’s recruiting portion of Dynasty Mode due to all the funny made-up names EA generated for the new video game.
As ridiculous as some of the names are, there are some pretty funny real-life names as well, and one Michigan State player is going viral for his shocking last name.
Michigan State opened up its season with a 16-10 win over FAU on Friday and fans had the pleasure of being introduced to No. 83, long snapper Jack Carson-Wentz.

Carson-Wentz is a sophomore from Canton, Georgia, and has no relation to Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Carson Wentz.
He transferred to Michigan State in June from West Georgia in Division II and said “I chose Michigan State because it felt like home as soon as I got on campus on my visit,” Carson-Wentz told Spartans Illustrated. “Also, the Spartans have a great and welcoming coaching staff, especially Coach Bengal. MSU also has a winning attitude.”
Michigan State doesn’t have the highest expectations this season, and starting the year out with just a 6-point win over an opponent like Florida Atlantic is not very encouraging.
Sparty has a matchup at Maryland in its next game before facing Prairie View A&M and Boston College prior to a gauntlet that will see them battle Ohio State, Oregon, Iowa, and Michigan in four consecutive weeks.
It was only the Friday of Week 1, but this is already going to be a tough random name to top, and is the early leader in the clubhouse for the funniest name this season.
