For years, the San Francisco 49ers have been one of the teams to beat in the National Football League.
Once a powerhouse, it’s been decades since they last hoisted the Vince Lombardi trophy, and they’ve lost multiple Super Bowls ever since.
They currently have an absolute behemoth of a roster on both sides of the field, and are once again expected to be among the top-tier teams in the league next season.
However, former WR Greg Jennings believes that won’t be the case.
Talking on FOX, the former player went as far as to predict that the Niners would end up missing the playoffs next season (via Coach Yac).
Greg Jennings has the 49ers missing the playoffs:
“Everyone is so bullish on the Niners, and I thought to myself, ‘I really like the Niners. I love that they got Aiyuk done. There’s just a little too much going on right now and I think Brock Purdy is dealing with that and is not… pic.twitter.com/mwy77WGjYf

He states that as positive as it was to get the Brandon Aiyuk nagging saga out of the way, he’s worried about how Brock Purdy might deal with all the pressure and things he’s currently dealing with.
On top of that, he thinks they’re an older team now, and that might make it tough for them to stay healthy throughout the course of the season.
Needless to say, that’s a very, very bold take by the former player.
The Niners will kick off their season with a home date with the New York Jets.
They’ll also go against the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams (x2), New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals (x2), Seattle Seahawks (x2), Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions.
That’s not an easy set of opponents, but it would be a major surprise if they weren’t in the playoffs.
