The Denver Broncos might not have a lot going on for them next season.

But even if that’s the case, one thing is for sure: Patrick Surtain II will continue to excel.

At least, that’s how Champ Bailey feels.

Talking to Zach Gelb, the Hall of Famer cornerback shared his high expectations for Surtain II (via Zac Stevens).

Champ Bailey called Pat Surtain II a First-Ballot Hall-of-Famer.

“I expect him to go to as many Pro Bowls as I did. Be a First-Ballot Hall-of-Famer… When he plays, he’s the best [corner in the NFL]”pic.twitter.com/2kPKnrll7j

He claims that Surtain has the potential to be a perennial All-Pro and future first-ballot Hall of Famer if he keeps playing this way.

Bailey stated that he thought that injuries were the only thing that could stand in Surtain’s way en route to the Hall of Fame.

Notably, this isn’t the first time that the legendary defensive back has said something like this about Surtain II.

He’s been quite high on him dating back to his days in Alabama.

Surtain II is considered to be the best cornerback in the game of football right now, and while there were reportedly plenty of eyes on him during the offseason, the Broncos made it loud and clear that he wasn’t up for grabs.

The team has yet to lock him up for a long-term extension, and they might make him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history once that time comes.

Surtain II has also had nothing but praise for the Broncos organization and has repeatedly talked about his desire to stay with the team for years to come, and it should be just a matter of time before they get something sorted out.
