The Sacramento Kings made one of the biggest moves of the offseason.
Getting DeMar DeRozan was huge, especially considering they also prevented him from potentially joining another team in their division.
Despite his age, DeRozan continues to go strong as a scorer and facilitator.
However, it’s DeAaron Fox as the one who could and should be this team’s catalyst, at least according to Stephen A. Smith.
As reported by Kings on NBC Sports, the ESPN pundit argued that Fox could be the reason why the Kings could be a sleeper in the league next season:
“You know who I think the potential sleeper is?” Smith asked. “The Sacramento Kings. This brother De’Aaron Fox,” Smith said.

Of course, that makes sense, as Fox is finally living up to the expectations that came with him when he first entered the league.
A bit of a late bloomer, Fox is turning heads with his newly-found shooting stroke, and his playmaking and mesmerizing speed were never in doubt.
The Kings are well coached, and if they manage to get back to full strength and avoid injuries, they should be back in the fold as a playoff team.
Then again, DeRozan’s addition doesn’t come without concerns.
While he’s a good scorer, he’s not a three-point shooter by any means, and spacing was already a concern in Sac-Town.
Domantas Sabonis isn’t what one would call a stretch big, and Fox, while capable of knocking down shots from long range, often relies on his speed and athleticism.
As things stand now, it seems like things could either go very well or very badly in Sacramento, with nothing in between.
