Greg Olsen’s NFL career is vastly underrated.

He was one of the best tight ends in the game when he was in his prime, excelling alongside Cam Newton when he played for the Carolina Panthers.

He was an outstanding and reliable pass-catcher, but he also excelled as a physical blocker, setting the table for other tight ends to be more involved in the passing game as they are nowadays.

Notably, it all started in Miami, which is why he attended his beloved Miami Hurricanes’ debut game vs. Florida on Saturday.

Olsen continues to be tied to the game of football.

He joined former Panthers teammates Jonathan Stewart and Luke Kuechly to coach a high school team, and he was a quick riser as an analyst as well.

Unfortunately, he was displaced because of Tom Brady.

With the legendary quarterback set to enter the booth and join Kevin Burkhardt as their lead color commentator, Olsen will now have to settle for a secondary spot.

He has become a fan favorite because of his great insight and analysis of the game.

Then again, there’s not much you can do when Tom Brady is the guy who’s going to replace you.

Granted, no one knows how Brady will fare as an analyst, and while he’s the best football mind at the quarterback position, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to be as great as a commentator.

In the meantime, Olsen will have to keep his head up and continue to do his great work.
