In 2022, the Philadelphia Eagles saw a superstar quarterback emerge in the form of Jalen Hurts, who proved his worth by leading the storied NFL franchise to the Super Bowl, where he went toe-to-toe with fellow superstar Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Unfortunately, the 2023 campaign was a regrettable one for Hurts and the Eagles, as the team got off to a great start, winning 10 of their first 11 regular-season games before the squad started to fall apart with some discord on the coaching staff that regrettably boiled over onto the football field.
While the Eagles trended in the wrong direction last season, the Green Bay Packers, who traded superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets before the season began, were in the opposite situation.
This thrust Jordan Love into the spotlight, where he flourished after some early bumps in the road to become arguably one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the game, leading the Packers into the NFL playoffs.
After pulling off an incredible upset over the Dallas Cowboys on the road, Love and company gave the San Francisco 49ers all they could handle before losing at Levi’s Stadium.
Fortunately for Love, the Packers were ecstatic with his performance during the 2023 campaign and rewarded him by making him one of the highest-paid players at his position.
Love recently opened up about what he admires about Hurts, with whom he is on a mural in Sao Paulo, Brazil, via Ryan Wood of USA Today.
“He’s just a dog,” Love said. “He’s one of those quarterbacks who, he’s gonna scramble, and he’s not gonna slide. He’s gonna take some hits, and he’s a bigger guy.”

Love has a lot of respect for Hurts and will likely continue to be connected with the Eagles superstar, as they are two of the most promising young players in the game right now and will be battling it out in the NFC for years to come.
For the 2024 NFL season, the Packers and Eagles have something to prove and could ultimately face one another in the postseason.
