We just saw Evan Fournier playing in the Paris Olympics, representing his home country of France as they went all the way to the silver medal.
Many people thought he would come back to the NBA but that won’t be the case.
According to Aris Barkas, per NBACentral, Fournier is bypassing the league and will join Olympiacos on a three-year deal.
In the past, Fournier has expressed a lot of interest in playing for Olympiacos and now this new deal makes it official.

Fournier spent the last season with both the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons.
Before that, he had played for the Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, and Boston Celtics.
He has a career average of 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.
Moving from the NBA to the EuroLeague is a big deal but Fournier is one of many stars from the association who is traveling overseas to find success.
This shows that the NBA is currently incredibly crowded with talent, but it also reminds fans that the international basketball scene is only growing.
More and more impressive stars are coming from overseas and the markets to play go beyond the NBA.
Fournier will surely find a lot of success playing in the EuroLeague and there is a good chance he will play for France in the 2028 Olympics.
Because of his status in the NBA and his star value, he will likely get a great deal of cash for his new contract.
We haven’t seen the last of Fournier but we may never witness him in the NBA again.
