LeBron James has been a household name for more than 20 years but he has remained free of scandals and many of the problems that plague other public figures.
A big reason for that is because he surrounds himself with the right sort of people.
Speaking to The Shop, James opened up about his close circle of family and friends.
He advised all people to only associate with those who support them, aren’t afraid to be honest, and make them feel good.
This is the path he has followed and it has helped him stay level-headed as he has reached new heights of fame.
This is very solid advice from James and, sadly, something that not all athletes and celebrities pay attention to.
It is hard for people to not get sucked up by “yes men” who are attracted to the glitz and glamor of fame but do not truly care about much else.
NBA fans have seen many stars come and go and far too many of those players have seen their personal lives and fortunes fall apart because of the people who surround them.
James has been wise to only stay close to people he trusts and those who care about his well-being.
Because of that, we have not seen him get wrapped in tabloid stories or lose a lot of money.
James is all about positive energy and wants to only be close to people who bring that to him.
In exchange, he will give positive energy back and will support those who support him.
It is not just skills that have allowed James to become such a major figure.
His wise outlook on friendship and family has also helped him get to this point.
