Stephen Curry is still fully committed to the Golden State Warriors and just signed a one-year, $62.6  million extension with the squad.

This put to rest months of rumors about him possibly growing weary of the team’s recent rough patch.

According to Curry, this new extension is nothing but good news and will help him achieve a lifelong dream.

“I’ve always said I wanted to play for one team my whole career. So it’s good to get (the extension) question out of the way and give complete focus to basketball and to the season,” Curry told The Athletic.

Now that Curry has signed another deal with the Warriors, he can focus on winning as much as possible in the season ahead.

He has done so much during his historic career but Curry is now reaching the point where the clock is starting to tick even louder.

The four-time champion is 36 years old, which means retirement is looming larger than ever before.

Of course, that also means that time is running out for another championship and the Warriors are not in the state to win it all, at least not right now.

They made a few minor adjustments in the summer, but also missed out on adding another huge name to the roster and they lost Klay Thompson as well.

This will put even more pressure on Curry in a fiercely competitive Western Conference.

Because of the mounting pressure and Golden State’s last season, some people thought Curry would wave goodbye to the Warriors.

But this extension proves that Curry really does want to retire with this team, no matter how rough things get.
