We’re just days away from the start of the NFL season.
As such, the football frenzy has officially taken over the world, and even athletes from other sports are obsessed with the game right now.
Notably, that includes NBA legend LeBron James.
With that in mind, the guys at DraftKings asked the four-time NBA champion to share his list of the greatest tight ends of all time, and he had quite a few legends.

He chose Tony Gonzalez as an honorable mention.
Then, he chose the legendary Rob Gronkowski, who could only be slowed down by injuries throughout the course of his career.
He also named Shannon Sharpe, one of the first pass-catching tight ends and a three-time Super Bowl champion who paved the way for modern tight ends.
To the surprise of some, he also chose Kellen Winslow Sr., who doesn’t get enough credit anymore despite being one of the first elite pass-catching tight ends ever.
Last but not least, he chose Travis Kelce, who may not excel as a blocker like some of the aforementioned players but who could end up having better numbers than every single one of them.
Notably, James himself could’ve also been a legendary tight end.
He was an elite wide receiver in high school, and Jerry Jones even offered him a contract during the NBA’s lockout more than a decade ago.
Fortunately for the NFL, he stuck to hooping.
