There is no doubt that TJ McConnell has become an important part of the Indiana Pacers.
Because of that, the Pacers recently signed him to a contract extension and now the details of that deal are coming to light.
Michael Scotto summed up the new four-year contract between Indiana and McConnell.
According to Scotto, McConnell will earn $10.2 million in the 2025-26 season, followed by $11 million in 2026-27.
After that will be $11.8 million (with $5 million guaranteed) in 2027-28, and finally $11.8 million again in 2028-29, although that season has a team option for the Pacers.
Indiana Pacers signed TJ McConnell to a 4-year, $44.8M extension, which includes a partial guarantee Year 3 and team option Year 4, league sources told @hoopshype Details below:
2025-26: $10.2M

This is a sizable contract but one that is very friendly to the Pacers.
It allows them to not spend a boatload of cash on a promising young star but also gives them the ability to cut ties with him in the future if his output diminishes.
Speaking of that output, McConnell had arguably his best season ever in 2023-24.
He averaged 10.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists, shooting a strong 55.6% from the floor and 40.9% from the three-point line.
After the season they had, the Pacers are one of the most talked-about teams in the entire league.
They went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals and have slowly but surely cobbled together a very strong, driven, exciting roster.
McConnell is the very definition of a great bench player.
He started in only four games last season but repeatedly made an impact on the floor for the team.
What will 2024-25 bring?
Will the Pacers once again go far in the playoffs and will McConnell prove that he’s worth the extension he just received?
