It’s the dawn of a new era for the Washington Commanders, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t want them celebrating.

Todd Bowles is 10-5 against rookie quarterbacks in his career, and he’ll look to make it 11 wins on Sunday in Week 1.

However, he’s well aware of the challenges that come with facing a dual-threat quarterback like Jayden Daniels.

When asked about that, Bowles admitted that stopping guys who can do damage with their legs or their arms is always a problem (via Rick Stroud).

He also acknowledged that Daniels is very calm and collected in the pocket, not to mention the fact that he already looks comfortable in the offense.

Daniels is coming off one of the greatest seasons in college football history.

While his LSU Tigers didn’t find the same kind of success as he did, he finally gave the fans hope again for the first time since the Joe Burrow era.

He threw for a whopping 40 touchdowns and ran for another ten last season, and he’ll look to showcase that same dual-threat expertise in the pros right out of the gate.

The Commanders are a big question mark entering the season.

On paper, they have a much better roster than they did last year, and they should be better coached on both sides of the field as well.

In reality, however, they might need some more time before all the new pieces mesh together and before Dan Quinn can instill their new identity and get them back to their winning ways.
