Kadarius Toney had the opportunity of a lifetime when he was traded from the New York Giants to the Kansas City Chiefs midway through the 2022 NFL season.
The wide receiver earned a Super Bowl ring that season, but last season, he was out after Week 14 with hip and ankle injuries and could only watch as the Chiefs won it all again.
After having the fifth-year option on his contract declined during the offseason, Toney was released by the Chiefs last week.
Looking for a new team, Toney reportedly visited with the Seattle Seahawks, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

The wideout struggled in 2023, recording just 27 catches for 169 yards and one touchdown in 13 games, and he dropped several passes, which led to some losses, including a Week 1 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Lions.
The former first-round draft pick is just 25 years old, so perhaps he still has some upside if he gets himself into the right situation.
The Seahawks are looking to get back into the playoffs after narrowly missing out on the postseason in 2023, and while they have a solid receiving corps with veterans D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and emerging player Jaxon Smith-Njigba, it doesn’t hurt to look at another young prospect to develop.
That is especially true when one considers that Lockett will turn 32 later this month and saw his production drop from 1,033 yards in the 2022 season to 894 yards in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs’ wide receiver room looks considerably better than it did last season, when they managed to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy with a young and unproven group.
This time around, Rashee Rice will look to build on a strong rookie year, while they also have a young veteran in Marquise Brown and an impressive rookie in Xavier Worthy, as well as a key member back from their 2022 team, JuJu Smith-Schuster.
