The New York Jets are a legitimate Super Bowl contender, at least on paper.
The team has revamped their ever-struggling offensive line, and getting Aaron Rodgers on the field is perhaps the biggest turnaround and improvement in franchise history, especially considering their previous QB situation.
However, as much as all of the talk has been centered around the veteran quarterback and whether he’s still got it or not, he might not be the most important piece of Nathaniel Hackett’s offense going forward.
Young star Breece Hall is coming off his first full season in the league and he showed no signs of rust or being slowed down by that injury he suffered as a rookie.
When asked about his mindset for the season, he claimed that he truly felt like he was better than anybody else in the league right now, and while he knows he hasn’t accomplished anything yet, he’s looking forward to doing so this season (via Harrison Glaser).
“I feel like I’m better than ever right now. To me, I haven’t really done anything in this league yet. For me, it’s every time I step out on the field I want to be the best player out there. I want every player to know who #20 is.”- Breece Hall #Jets pic.twitter.com/DClP7rIg5k

Hall has averaged almost five yards per carry, and that’s despite playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league last season.
Moreover, the Jets’ offensive situation has rarely been favorable to help establish the run, yet he still managed to put up big numbers last season.
Now, with an elite passer opening up the field for him, Hall could go on an absolute tear from the very start of the season.
The Jets know they have a lot at stake this season.
This might be a one-and-done kind of thing.
That’s the motivation Hall and everybody will need to be in top form.
