For most of his career, Tom Brady has been part of the NFL GOAT debate.
It seemed like he had settled the conversation once and for all when he won his seventh Super Bowl ring.
However, his reign may have been short-lived.
It didn’t take much longer before people started making a case for Patrick Mahomes.
Now, the Kansas City Chiefs star has a chance to make history by leading his team to the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.
Needless to say, that would make a very compelling argument for his GOAT status, not to mention the fact that he still has plenty of years ahead of him.
Even so, Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo believes one argument is already settled.

Talking on ESPN’s First Take, he admitted that three-peat or not, Mahomes was already the greatest quarterback he had ever seen.
He also stated that this wasn’t a knock on Brady by any means because he was also a big fan of his, but Mahomes is just better.
Truth be told, Mahomes seems to be the only player who could realistically have a chance to take down Brady’s records or tie his seven Super Bowl wins.
He’s already a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and he hasn’t even turned 30, so he could still play for at least another decade if he manages to stay healthy, which has never been an issue with him.
Ironically, even if he were to win seven or more Super Bowls, Brady would still own bragging rights over him after beating him in the Super Bowl.
