Social media was originally designed to give people another avenue to form genuine, meaningful human connections and share differing opinions to learn more about the world and make new friends.

It is often not that anymore and has devolved into many people clamoring for attention and doing anything to go viral, and one Dallas Cowboys fan recently made a disgusting promise related to his favorite team and the upcoming Super Bowl.

Cowboys fan and comedian Jordan Garnett recently shared on X ahead of the 2024 NFL season, “I don’t back down on my word! I will eat human sh*t if the Cowboys do not win the Super Bowl.”

I don’t back down on my word! I will eat human sh*t . If the Cowboys do not win the Super Bowl. It will be streamed live on my Instagram: @jordangarnett and TikTok. https://t.co/yf7okHkryl pic.twitter.com/y01P0FUHBP

Garnett said he would stream it live on his Instagram and TikTok, and if the moderators of those platforms have anything to say about it, those live streams surely won’t last too long.

This gross claim is a spinoff of a recent Florida State football fan who went viral for saying he’d eat dog poop if his Seminoles lost to Boston College on Monday, and as soon as BC laid a whopping on FSU, the fan deleted his account.

Whatever happened to the good old tattoo bet?

This is what it’s come to, we’re eating poop to go viral?
