The 2024 NFL season is going to be the first time in decades that football fans won’t have the pleasure of seeing 6-time Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick on the sideline after he and his New England Patriots parted ways this past offseason and he surprisingly didn’t land one of the available coaching gigs elsewhere.
Fans will have more access to him in other ways after he announced he’ll be regularly appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, but he recently announced he will also be joining a major social media platform to give fans another way to keep up with what he’s up to.
Belichick appeared on McAfee’s show on Wednesday and when Pat asked him if he had an announcement to make, he said “Pat, I can’t really believe I’m doing this, but I’ve joined Instaface.” before saying he can’t wait to join Pat and the boys every Monday to talk football.

Of course, he meant Instagram, and the Instaface comment was a way to poke fun at himself for an excerpt from back in the day when he allegedly got annoyed with his players for spending too much time on social media, most notably calling it “Instaface.”
He already has over 82,000 followers and has made his first three posts, with the first one saying how he can’t wait to use this platform to connect with the fans.
It took a while, but he finally caved and it’s great to see Belichick opening up more and showing his personality now that he’s not tasked with leading an NFL franchise.
