Last season, the Baltimore Ravens were undoubtedly the best team in the league throughout the NFL regular season, as longtime head coach John Harbaugh had his team firing on all cylinders, getting the best out of superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens offense was near-unstoppable at times during the 2023 campaign, as Jackson showed what he can still do in this league while being able to stay healthy and productive on the football field from week to week.

As a result of Jackson getting back to form as an elite quarterback in the NFL, the veteran went on to win his second NFL MVP award while beating out up-and-comer Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers.

Heading into the 2024 NFL season, the Ravens are expected to be a juggernaut in the AFC once again, with Jackson determined to get to the Super Bowl for the first time in his career, but he’ll have some stiff competition when it comes to the MVP race.

According to ESPN BET, there are quite a few candidates with better odds for MVP heading into Week 1, with Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes currently being the favorite.

Along with Mahomes being the favorite, other players with better odds than Jackson to win the regular-season award include CJ Stroud (Houston Texans), Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals), Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills), Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles), Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers), Aaron Rodgers (New York Jets) and Purdy.

It’s interesting to see that many players have better odds than Jackson, considering how good the Ravens are expected to be in 2024, but this might provide some fuel to his fire heading into the season opener against the Chiefs in Week 1.
