Patrick Beverley is far from home, but he’s having the time of his life.
On the latest episode of his podcast, per NBACentral, Beverley opened up about playing in Israel and revealed just how much he’s enjoying it.
He admitted that family and friends are constantly calling and texting him, asking if he’s okay.
He’s more than okay and said that he’s “waking up in paradise everyday.”

Instead of agreeing to a deal with another NBA team, Beverley recently signed a contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
That means he packed his bags and headed to Israel.
So far, he has been loving every moment.
He enjoys playing basketball with his team, of course, but his off-court activities sound amazing too.
He mentioned that he has access to a private beach and spends about seven hours a day lounging in the sand.
That isn’t a bad way to relax and Beverley sounds very comfortable and at home in his new country.
There are plenty of reasons to be concerned about Beverley, mostly because he is thousands of miles from his home and there is a war raging in that part of the world.
But Beverley doesn’t seem bothered at all and has nothing but great things to say.
He has been eagerly welcomed by fans in Israel and is making a good deal of money with his new contract.
All of that, and the leisure activities he’s been enjoying, give Beverley reasons to be happy.
Some people wonder if he’ll ever return to the NBA.
Maybe he will but right now Beverley is enjoying his time in “paradise”.
