A White Sox Fan Had A Rant For The Ages

The Chicago White Sox and their fans had to endure an 11-year rebuild, from 2009 to 2020, to make the playoffs again.

After consecutive first-round exits in 2020 and 2021, the team regressed again in 2022 with an 81-81 record.

Most people thought former manager Tony La Russa was the problem, and things would pick up with him off the team.

He certainly wasn’t the solution, but was far from the only thing going wrong in the White Sox franchise.

With Pedro Grifol at the helm, the White Sox are fourth in the AL Central division with a putrid 7-19 record.

7-19!

This is a franchise that finished 93-69 in 2021 and 81-81 in 2022.

A lof has gone wrong: injuries have affected star players, young prospects haven’t developed as hoped, no starter has an ERA under four (not even 2022 Cy Young candidate Dylan Cease), and their farm is not particularly a strength.

Fans are very angry with the state of the franchise.

One of them had a legendary rant in which he exposed the organization.

Wow.

As you can see, fans are upset.

The front office is receiving most of the heat.

With a 7-19 start, the fans’ sentiment is understandable.

Even the Detroit Tigers are ahead of the White Sox in the standings.

The White Sox are one of MLB’s most traditionally relevant franchises.

They have been around, with that name, since 1901.

Yes, they won a title in 2005, but after that, lots of things feels improvised.

They have appeared in the playoffs just three times since that 2005 successful campaign, and that’s not going to cut it.
