The Los Angeles Rams are going to look vastly different once the 2024 NFL season kicks off.

The Rams’ offense remained largely intact this offseason, but the defense lost its pillar as Aaron Donald decided to retire from the NFL.

Donald had been thinking about walking away for good the past couple of seasons, but after 10 seasons he finally called it a career.

The former defensive tackle leaves behind one of the most impressive legacies the league has ever seen, and Los Angeles will now have to find a way to replace him along their defensive line.

Donald seemed reinvigorated during his final season as he got to play with several talented young players.

Puka Nacua was the team’s best rookie in 2023 and Donald believes he can accomplish anything in the league if he sets his mind to it, via Around The NFL.

“He kept doing the same things every single week, bro, and it’s like if he stays like that and he stays hungry and if he wants to be great, in my opinion, I think he can do some things that [have] never been done in this league,” Donald said.

Nacua was a revelation for Los Angeles, who took him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The young wideout quickly became a staple in Sean McVay’s offense and even looked like the preferred read at times for Matthew Stafford.

Nacua broke several rookie records last year and to Donald’s point there’s no telling what else he can accomplish if he continues to play the way he has.
