The Los Angeles Rams are entering the 2023 season with heightened expectations.
After winning the Super Bowl in 2021, the Rams finished their 2022 campaign with a 5-12 record, primarily due to significant injury concerns.
Now, they’re back, and ready to make a splash on the NFC West standings.
Aaron Donald has recently addressed the media ahead of the season, giving his expectations for the upcoming year.
“Got a little motivation toward that, to push me to feel like I can get back to where I want to be as a player,” Donald said.
Donald, when healthy, has been one of the most dominant defensive players in the league over the past decade.
However, like many of his Rams counterparts, he missed many games in 2022 due to injury concerns.
He suffered an ankle sprain in Week 13 and didn’t return to action for the rest of the year.
In the past few offseasons, there has been significant chatter surrounding Donald, with many wondering when he is going to retire.
While he has certainly acknowledged these rumors, Donald doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, at least, sticking around for the 2023 campaign.
Donald has won the Defensive Player of the Year award on three separate occasions and is a seven-time First-Team All-Pro member.
His commitment to the Rams is notable, especially as he can impart his career wisdom onto some of the Rams’ newer players, particularly on defense.
Can Donald and the Rams get back to their winning ways, competing not only in their division but in the NFC as a whole?
