Aaron Rodgers was spotted on the field ahead of the New York Jets matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Videos surfaced of Rodgers walking around with little hesitation, even throwing several balls to his teammates.
This was a symbol of the progress he has made thus far after an Achilles injury at the beginning of the season.
While this mobility and passing ability were surprising to fans, Rodgers’ postgame comments were even more surprising.
According to a video shared via Adam Schefter, Rodgers told Derwin James he would return in “a few weeks.”
Chargers’ safety Derwin James asked Aaron Rodgers, postgame last night, “When you coming back?”
Rodgers responded, “A few weeks.” pic.twitter.com/R4jMNSLQ6E

After Rodgers said this, James chuckled to himself, looked Rodgers up and down, and wished him well.
Could he be ready to return in a few weeks?
Rodgers’ comments are ambiguous at this time, as it is not fully known what he meant by this.
He could mean that he is returning to practice soon, hoping to test himself and his recovery thus far.
However, Rodgers has said from the beginning that he would like to return to play before the second concludes.
If that timeline is accurate, his comments to James could come to fruition if he is approved by team doctors.
This would be one of the quickest documented returns from an Achilles injury, especially at the NFL level.
The Jets fell to 4-4 on the year with this loss to the Chargers,
With many more losses, the Jets could play themselves out of playoff contention.
Can Rodgers return in time to preserve their playoff chances?
