After a disappointing season that ended right out of the gate in Week 1 due to Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury, the New York Jets are hoping to bounce back with a vengeance during the upcoming 2024 NFL season.
With Rodgers back healthy and motivated to put his lost first season with the Jets behind him, New York is brimming with confidence and high expectations as training camp gets underway.
Along with making some key additions on both sides of the football during the NFL offseason, the Jets still have one of the best receivers in the NFL at Rodgers’ disposal, as Garrett Wilson will finally get some extended time with the four-time NFL MVP on the football field starting in September.
In the meantime, Rodgers and Wilson will work on their chemistry and getting on the same page in training camp, and the young wideout is already receiving high praise from the future Hall of Famer, who believes he has the potential to be the league’s elite wide receiver via Paul Andrew Esden Jr. of The Score 1260.
“I think he has the talent and the ability to be the best receiver in the league,” Rodgers said.

Although he caught one less touchdown than he did during his rookie season last year, going from four to three, Wilson did catch a career-high 95 passes for 1,042 receiving yards, which is impressive considering the situation at quarterback after Rodgers went down.
Now that Rodgers is healthy and ready to get back to work, Wilson could be on the cusp of having a career year as he’ll see the football coming his way much more frequently while potentially becoming the team’s best threat in the endzone.
