The New York Jets needed a veteran quarterback to get over the hump.
Last season proved that they were just a capable passer away from being a playoff team, and it’s safe to say that they added one that’s pretty much more than decent.
But as great as Aaron Rodgers has always been, he has his fair share of detractors because of his character, and it didn’t seem like he was enjoying his playing days anymore.
Notably, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore, as he recently talked to the media about how happy and grateful he’s been since he arrived in the Big Apple, making it loud and clear that he simply loves it there (via Zack Rosenblatt).
Aaron Rodgers sat down with a group of reporters today. He ended with this quote about his experience with the #Jets so far (it’s a long one):

Rodgers raved about the city, the organization, and all the little things that make him feel like he’s daydreaming.
Even coming off a down year by his standards, Rodgers was one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and that was with an unproven WR corps and amid a bit of a silent feud with his front office.
He feels comfortable now, and we can’t stress how important that is to find success in this league.
The NFL season is a long grind and having your best player feeling this way can uplift an entire team when it matters the most.
