The New York Jets continue to make headlines on a daily basis in the NFL, with the storied franchise quickly becoming the most intriguing team in the league ahead of the 2023 season.
Along with the recent drama that new Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton made, targeting Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently made some headlines by firing back at Payton and taking a massive pay cut.
Rodgers is already a very wealthy man as he has made a ton of money over the years while being the face of the Green Bay Packers franchise, meaning he’s no longer prioritizing making money but rather winning football games in the twilight of his NFL career.
The four-time NFL MVP recently agreed to a restructured deal with the Jets, which leaves $35 million on the table for New York to use to improve the squad ahead of the 2023 campaign set to get underway in September.
Rodgers recently opened up about why he took the big pay cut on Up And Adams with Kay Adams.

Rodgers took the pay cut so the Jets would have the funds available to sign star running back Dalvin Cook, who visited the team over the weekend, which he eluded to during his interview with Adams.
Unfortunately for the Jets, Cook hasn’t signed with the team, and there’s no telling whether he will put pen to paper in order to join the team.
However, Rodgers remains optimistic that the money will be put to good use by the Jets and the team will be improved once the funds are used.
