The New York Jets haven’t made the playoffs in 12 seasons, the longest active drought in the NFL.
To get back to the postseason, the Jets have been very aggressive during the offseason.
Their biggest move thus far was trading for Aaron Rodgers, but have made subsequent moves to assist him on offense.
Despite their playoff drought, it appears that Rodgers’ presence has boosted the Jets’ ticket sales as of late.
According to Sportico via Joe Pompliano, the Jets have seen a 400% increase in both season ticket and luxury suite sales, a direct result of the Rodgers trade.

Generally, when a team has a playoff drought spanning more than a decade, fans begin to lose hope, resulting in lessened ticket sales.
However, Rodgers isn’t an ordinary quarterback.
He is a Super Bowl Champion, a four-time league MVP, and is continually regarded as one of the league’s best quarterbacks.
If initial fan response is any indication, the fanbase has latched onto Rodgers and is excited about the upcoming season.
While Rodgers has handled significant pressure throughout his career, he was already at an organization that had recently experienced success.
Will Rodgers and the Jets be able to break the curse, finally sneaking into the playoffs?
The AFC East has continued to get stronger, but Rodgers’ impact might be just enough for the Jets to be Super Bowl contenders.
