It may have taken longer than expected, but Aaron Rodgers is now a member of the New York Jets.

The Jets and the Green Bay Packers reportedly went back and forth on compensation but ultimately got a deal done.

While his contract seemed to be set in stone, a recent report has indicated that he restructured his deal.

According to Pro Football Talk via Bleacher Report, Rodgers is slated to make just $1.165 million in 2023 but $107.55 million in 2024.

This move likely helps the Jets save on cap space for the upcoming season.

It could also help them sign any additional players they feel the team lacks now that training camp has started.

Now that the NFL season begins in less than 50 days, it’s officially crunch time for Rodgers and the offense.

If this report is accurate, this would be the most dedicated money to one player in NFL history.

While this contract restructure seems to be an initial win for Rodgers, he still hasn’t played a game for the Jets.

The reports from training camp have trended positively toward Rodgers, who continues to work on chemistry with his new teammates.

Will Rodgers’ presence be what this Jets team is looking for, as they have seemingly moved on from Zach Wilson?

After not making the playoffs for 12 straight years, the organization could get desperate, willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

If that’s the case, they will spare no expense moving forward, even if that means paying Rodgers north of $100 million for a single season.
