While possible news is swirling around the NFL about teams such as the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots being interested in trading for San Francisco 49ers star receiver Brandon Aiyuk, there are other teams, such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, that don’t appear to be as interested.
In fact, ESPN’s Adam Schefter does not believe that Pittsburgh is an ideal landing spot for Aiyuk.
“I don’t expect Pittsburgh to be a landing spot at all. I think Pittsburgh, like a lot of teams, checks into this,” Schefter recently said on The Pat McAfee Show.

As Schefter notes, there usually tends to be a lot of teams that check in on a situation regarding a coveted player.
Perhaps the Steelers once wanted to know what the asking price was for Aiyuk but judging by Schefter’s comments, they seem to be content with their current receiver room.
They have 1,000-yard wide receiver George Pickens as their No. 1 option.
Former Super Bowl champion Van Jefferson was acquired earlier this offseason.
The team selected rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson out of Michigan in this year’s NFL Draft, and speedsters Quez Watkins, Calvin Austin III, and Scotty Miller are in the fold too.
So, head coach Mike Tomlin is likely happy with the group that he has and may want to see how the preseason pans out.
Time will tell to see which team decides to pull the trigger on a trade for the former first-round pick, but that team seemingly won’t be the Steelers.
