The NBA is the biggest basketball league in the entire world.
But, due to its immense popularity among fans, the league needs to keep evolving to avoid becoming boring for the fans.
Ahead of the 2018 NBA season, the league introduced a new All-Star Game format where players with the highest numbers of votes from each conference would become captains and draft their own teams.
However, due to the seemingly stagnant format, it received a lot of backlash from NBA fans and players alike.
Now, keeping the backlash in mind, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver shared his thoughts on returning the All-Star Game to its original format, via “The Old Man & Three” on Twitter.
“Nobody was happy about the experience last year,” Silver said.

Silver mentioned nobody at all was happy with the format of the NBA All-Star Game last season.
A crucial reason behind it is the fact that players have stopped taking the event seriously.
Silver also mentioned that with dance performances and hefty introductions taking place before the game, it’s bound to lead to players being unserious about it.
For the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, the league has apparently discussed returning to the original format of the game with players and other important figures.
Silver urged the players to treat the event, at least, as a regular game.
Will this be the season when players regain interest in the NBA All-Star Game, or is the event inevitably heading towards even poorer ratings this year?
