The 2023-24 NBA season is officially in the books.

However, basketball never stops, and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is well aware of that.

With that in mind, he wrote a thank you letter to NBA fans all over the world, acknowledging that the game has only become more popular because of them (Via Duane Rankin).

Silver called it a memorable season full of historic milestones, citing the first-ever In-Season Tournament.

He also pointed out the fact that, with the Celtics winning a league-high 18th title, the league has now crowned six different champions in as many years, calling it a golden era of NBA competition.

Silver also wanted to let everybody know that the WNBA and NBA app will continue to have extensive coverage of everything that goes on in their leagues, from the WNBA season to the NBA Draft and NBA Summer League.

We will also have professional basketball in the Paris Olympics, so the fans will have plenty of things to watch and stay entertained while the league returns.

This was a historic season, although the playoffs left plenty to be desired, particularly in the Eastern Conference.

Perhaps it’s time the league revisits the possibility of changing the playoff seeding again and giving the 16-best teams a chance to make the playoffs regardless of the conference.

Still, with the Play-In Tournament also drawing plenty of viewership, that’s not likely to happen.
