It is no secret that the Carolina Panthers have been a struggling franchise for a while now.

They have not had a winning record since 2017.

Additionally, they have not won a playoff game since 2015.

That string of losing doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon.

Carolina is coming off of a 2-win season in which they fired head coach Frank Reich and the majority of the coaching staff.

Perhaps their amount of regular season wins could improve, though.

They hired exciting, offensive-minded coach Dave Canales to become the head coach.

He helped reinvigorate Baker Mayfield’s career as Tampa’s offensive coordinator last year.

With the addition of a new head coach comes possibly new renovations to the team facility.

In light of Carolina’s proposed $800 million renovation to the practice facilities, veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen shared his thoughts, via the Charlotte Observer (via B/R Gridiron).

“We probably have the worst facilities in the NFL right now,” Thielen stated.

With the help of their billionaire owner in David Tepper and the possible renovations, this Panthers team could be on the come-up.

Under Canales, this team has the chance to be better than they were a year ago.

The additions of first-round wide receiver Xavier Legette, former Pro Bowl edge-rusher Jadeveon Clowney, free-agent safety Jordan Fuller, and Pro Bowl wide receiver Diontae Johnson should help out.

It will be up to Canales to get the most out of former first overall pick Bryce Young, who struggled mightily last year.

New facilities wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for a team that should be much improved.
