The Carolina Panthers are in the cellar of the NFL right now.

After going from a record of 7-10 to 2-15 over the last few years, they want to climb out of that cellar.

With new, offensive-minded head coach Dave Canales in the fold, that means that quarterback Bryce Young will need to up his game in his sophomore season.

Veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen recently spoke on The Rich Eisen Show about how Young looks so far this offseason.

“It’s been awesome…He’s just more comfortable…You have that time together that we didn’t have last year…It’s been a really cool offseason,” Thielen said.

The former national champion and No. 1 overall draft pick in Young had a very tough 2023 season, throwing for 11 touchdowns and ten interceptions, and he even lost his entire offensive staff midway through the year.

Things may be looking up for the former Heisman winner this year as he will be playing for a younger mind in Canales, who turned Baker Mayfield into a Pro Bowl player again with the Bucs.

Additionally, he should have some more weapons at his disposal.

He still has a former Pro Bowl back in Miles Sanders and another quality back in Chuba Hubbard.

In the wide receiver core, he will have Thielen, another Pro Bowl player in former Steeler Diontae Johnson, and first-round pick Xavier Legette to work with.

Carolina Panthers fans may witness an improved season from Young, and after what happened to him as a rookie, it can’t get much worse.
