Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Kevin Brown has certainly had better weeks.

The young announcer was shockingly suspended by Orioles owner John Angelos after he had discussed the team’s struggles at Tropicana Field prior to this season.

The Orioles have seemingly reversed that trend and have won three of the five games they’ve played in St. Petersburg against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Since Brown was suspended, the entire sports world has come out in full force to support him as he deals with this current issue.

Legendary broadcaster Al Michaels recently discussed the decision to suspend Brown via Outside The Lines, and had some harsh words for Angelos.

“They should suspend the doofus that suspended Kevin Brown.”

Michaels said that when he first read about the suspension, he thought it was either a joke or that something far worse was behind the O’s reasoning for doing this.

The legendary broadcaster joked that now that he knows why Brown was suspended, there should still be a suspension, however, not for Brown.

He then referred to Angelos as a “doofus” and stated that he should have been the one that suffered a suspension.

Brown will return soon, but Michaels’ comments about why he believes Angelos should be suspended drew some shock laughs from ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap.

Most, if not all around the sports world share Michaels’ sentiments about the suspension and that it should not have been handed out in the first place.

But Michaels was very blunt in his assessment of the Orioles owner and like everybody else who has spoken on the matter, was not in favor of Angelos’ decision to suspend Brown from his role.
