It didn’t take long before Victor Wembanyama showed the rest of the NBA world why scouts from all over the globe were so high on him.
It’s become more than evident that he’s a unique prospect with a sky-high ceiling, and he might already be a top-10 or at least top-15 player in the league.
Nonetheless, as good as he was, he still hasn’t reached another big man’s level.
At least, that’s according to fellow big man Alexandre Sarr.
During an interview with Bleacher Report, Sarr admitted that he thought Bam Adebayo was better than Wembanyama (via NBA Central).

He chose Wemby over the likes of Rudy Gobert, Draymond Green, and Chet Holmgren but had Adebayo in a superior tier.
Of course, he’s entitled to his opinion, and it’s not like the Miami Heat star isn’t one of the best big men in the game.
However, whether he’s a better player than Wembanyama might be up for debate.
Sarr was projected to be the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft class, but oddsmakers now have him going No. 2 to the Washington Wizards.
He’s another physical specimen and athletic freak with the upside to be one of the best defenders in the game right away, although he’s nowhere near Wembanyama in terms of talent or upside.
As for the San Antonio Spurs star, the team will reportedly be very aggressive in their pursuit of a point guard to get him as much help as he needs to take another leap forward in year two.
