Allen Iverson is considered one of the best basketball stars in the history of the NBA.

And in the years since his retirement, Iverson has given his opinions on the league, current players, and other Hall of Famers.

Speaking with Complex Sports, Iverson opened up about his dream starting five.

Iverson said he wishes he could start a game with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Shaquille O’Neal, who actually sat behind him during the interview.

Iverson said that no one would be able to beat that starting five and it’s very hard to argue against that.

Each of those stars are Hall of Famers (or future Hall of Famers) and most of them have won the Finals.

In fact, Iverson is the only one on the list who doesn’t have a championship ring, although he was an 11-time All-Star, Rookie of the Year, three-time steals champion, MVP, and more.

These are perhaps the five biggest names in NBA history and there is good reason for that.

Iverson is smart to choose them as his dream starting five.

This sort of exercise is something that all NBA fans do at one point or another, choosing who they’d like to see play together.

Like Iverson, most people choose at least some combination that features Jordan Bryant, James, Iverson, and O’Neal.
