The Detroit Lions made headlines earlier today by announcing they signed star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to a historic contract extension for four years and $120 million with $77 million guaranteed, which is the most guaranteed money ever given to a wide receiver in NFL history.
St. Brown took to social media today to confirm the deal and let Lions fans know he is happy to be in Detroit for four more years.
The star wideout shared a video from an empty Ford Field sending Lions fans a simple message, saying “four more years.”

St. Brown’s numbers have gone up in each of his three years in the league, and he was second in the NFL last season with 119 receptions and third with 1,515 yards while bringing in ten touchdowns.
The receiving room suffered the loss of Josh Reynolds in free agency, so it will be relying more on former No. 12 pick Jameson Williams and Donovan Peoples-Jones, so the need for St. Brown’s productivity will be stronger than ever unless the team adds to the position in the draft.
St. Brown is the third receiver in NFL history to catch 90 passes in each of his first three seasons, joining Odell Beckham Jr. and Michael Thomas.
In the weeks leading up to this process, St. Brown did not sound worried about a deal getting done at all.
It was a nice change of pace given how often wide receivers wind up having rocky offseasons in recent years when it comes time for a new contract.
It was smooth sailing for Lions fans on this one, and their star isn’t going anywhere.
