The 2024 NFL Draft will go down in history as the year of the quarterbacks.

Not only did teams take quarterbacks with the first three picks of the draft, but there were six quarterbacks taken in the first 12 overall selections, which ended up being a record.

This is an indication of the strength of this year’s class, as many teams are hoping these players pan out for them in the long run.

The Chicago Bears had the No. 1 overall selection in this year’s draft, where they took Caleb Williams, one of the most hyped QB prospects in recent history.

Williams has been on the NFL radar for a few years, and he’ll now get an opportunity to showcase his talents with the Bears.

While many analysts and fans are excited about what Williams can do in the NFL, this sentiment isn’t shared by everyone.

Chris Broussard and Shaun King recently sat down to talk about this on FOX Sports Radio, and Broussard asked King his thoughts on Williams’ rookie season, and if he can “live up to the hype this year.”

King told Broussard, “I’m gonna say no. I’m not gonna say he doesn’t have a good rookie year, but I don’t think he and the Bears live up to the expectations.”

King didn’t necessarily say that Williams will have a bad season, but he doesn’t expect him to have a C.J. Stroud-like year, either.

The Bears have been craving consistency from a quarterback, and if Williams doesn’t provide that in his first few years, this pick could be viewed as a major letdown.
