Analyst Believes 49ers Star Is Underrated

The San Francisco 49ers have one of the most stacked offensive cores in the entire National Football League.

They’re all stars on their own, and teaming up gives Kyle Shanahan an endless amount of resources to work with and deploy his offensive creativity.

That’s why keeping all the players together is a must for GM John Lynch and their project.

With that in mind, former NFL player Harry Douglas talked about how big of a deal it would be for them to lose Brandon Aiyuk.

In the latest edition of ESPN’s First Take, Douglas called Aiyuk not only one of the most underrated wide receivers in the game but also one of the most underrated players in all of football, period.

He pointed out the fact that even though everybody talks about George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and Kyle Shanahan and rightly so, he was actually the leader in targets, yards, and receptions.

More than that, he believes his explosiveness is also the key to the offense’s success.

Truth be told, Aiyuk is a very good wide receiver who should most definitely get a significant pay raise in his next contract.

On the other hand, he hasn’t dealt with his contract situation in the right way; both things are true and could coexist.

He has no leverage here, and as much as the Niners need him, they also must draw a line in the sand at some point.

This situation has kept escalating, and it remains to be seen if they will be able to reach an agreement.
