For many young basketball players, making it to the NBA is a lifelong dream.

It is a pipe dream for many, as there is an incredibly low chance for anyone to make it to the league, considering the few spots available.

If they do break through and get drafted or signed by a team, the chance of them being a star is even lower, given the enhanced competition at the next level.

With all that in mind, young players can feel a lot of pressure to perform well out of the gates, hoping to make a good impression allowing them to play in the league for several years.

Bronny James is no stranger to pressure and high expectations, as his father is one of the best players in league history, and there was a bright spotlight on him growing up.

However, the NBA is a lot different than AAU and college ball, and he’ll be exposed to a new level of expectations.

Ric Bucher recently talked about this in a segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, and what he thinks the league could be like for James.

“I’m not sure that there’s ever been more pressure on any one player coming into the NBA than there is on Bronny James,” Bucher said.

Bucher believes that, once again, James is expected to play at a higher level than most given his lineage.

He was a second-round pick for a reason, but with the name on the back of his jersey, there is a lot built in that he’ll have to deal with.
