Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is a very interesting case study right now.
He is entering the final year of his contract and hoping for a new deal from Dallas.
It seems like, at least from a statistical point of view, that Prescott is a very good quarterback on a team that cannot win in the postseason.
Sometimes, he is the one at fault for that too.
But, perhaps it is time for the three-time Pro-Bowler to go shopping after this year.
That is how Fox Sports’s Craig Carton feels.
“If I’m Dak, I’m done…I’m now going to ‘bet on myself’,” Carton recently said on The Carton Show.

Looking at his numbers, Prescott is an above-average quarterback.
He is coming off of his best season as a pro after completing a career-best 410 throws and throwing a career-high 36 touchdowns, which led the NFL.
But once again, the team failed to make a deep playoff run after winning 12 games for the third consecutive season.
Prescott is a good quarterback, especially in the regular season.
He might be good, but the team itself isn’t strong enough around him.
That is part of the reason why he may want to consider finding employment elsewhere after the season if the team doesn’t win the Super Bowl this year.
This will be a situation to watch from now all the way until next offseason.
