The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of multiple contract battles at the moment.
To make matters worse, they are in contract battles with each of their three best players in Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott, All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and All-Pro edge-rusher Micah Parsons.
Perhaps the biggest battle is the one with Prescott considering he plays arguably the most important position in sports for arguably the biggest brand in the NFL.
With Prescott entering the final year of his current contract and hoping to earn over $50 million per year, Fox Sports’s Craig Carton believes Prescott could leave the team after this season.
“We are being set up for the divorce of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys,” Carton recently said on The Carton Show.

There is no doubt that Prescott is a quality regular-season quarterback.
He has guided the Cowboys to three consecutive 12-win seasons, and he led the league in touchdown passes a year ago (36).
However, the fact that he has just two playoff wins as the starter might be a problem.
Wins are of course a team stat, but why pay a good regular-season player over $50 million per year just to lose in the wildcard or divisional round every year?
That is the question the Cowboys are asking themselves.
As good of a team as they’ve been each of the last three years, are they better than the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Francisco 49ers, or even the Green Bay Packers?
History says no, and that is why the Cowboys need to decide whether or not it is worth it to pay a good player massive money just to not be good enough in the postseason.
If they decide not to this offseason, Prescott could be looking for a new home as a free agent next offseason.
