Even though Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers announced his intention to leave the team recently, he still doesn’t have a new home in the NBA.

Conventional wisdom says that the Miami Heat have the best shot at landing Lillard, although that isn’t guaranteed.

LeSean McCoy spoke about all the options with Lillard and he believes there is one clear choice for the Blazers star.

“I think Miami would be a good place, but the greatest place for him is in Philadelphia,” McCoy said on Wednesday’s Speak.

McCoy said that Lillard would fit perfectly alongside the league’s current MVP, Joel Embiid.

He also said that the spirit and drive of Lillard would greatly assist the team and even bring better work out of other players like Tobias Harris.

He suggested that Lillard would play harder and with more determination than James Harden ever did during his time with the 76ers.

McCoy isn’t the only one who believes that Lillard would be a great addition to the Sixers.

There are numerous fans that think losing Harden and gaining Lillard could be a recipe for a Finals appearance.

But it’s been repeatedly stated that Lillard has his heart set on the Miami Heat and only the Miami Heat.

Apparently, that is his sole dream destination.

However, it’s not his choice.

The Blazers want to amicably part ways with Lillard but they also want to set themselves up for long-term success after he is gone.

That means they will only agree to a deal that works well for them and gives them strong and promising assets.

Who has a better chance of creating such a deal: Miami or Philadelphia?
