The Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly made Paul George available.
They seem hesitant to sign him to another long-term contract because of his injury woes, yet they know he has a higher trade value than Kawhi Leonard at this point.
With that in mind, Jason McIntyre asked New York Knicks insider Ian Begley whether the Knicks are a realistic destination for him, and it sure seems so, via The Volume.

Begley claimed that the Knicks are unlikely to give up both Julius Randle and RJ Barrett to get George, but one of them would definitely be on the table.
The Knicks would love to add George to a 47-win team, although he did say that Leon Rose has been rather conservative, so he doesn’t see the team going all-in to retain George for the long run, given his history of injuries.
Begley revealed that the Knicks and Clippers held some talks regarding George before the NBA Draft, so he still expects them to be very aggressive in their pursuit of the two-way star in the coming months.
Both teams are looking to get over the hump and win a championship, and it’s hard to envision either of them pulling it off right now unless they make some major moves.
Even so, one of them will have to take some chances and gamble a little bit eventually, and the Knicks sure have more than enough draft capital and spare parts to try and convince the Clippers of parting ways with their talented forward.
