Not so long ago, NFL scouts raved about Tua Tagovailoa’s prospect as a future star.
Then, injuries took a toll on his body, and no one seemed so certain anymore, but the Miami Dolphins still took a flier on him.
And barring a moment in which they reportedly pursued Tom Brady as a stopgap at the QB position, it seems like they’ve always had faith in him as a franchise quarterback.
Nonetheless, NFL analyst Craig Carton isn’t as convinced as they are in his talents.
Can the Miami Dolphins contend for a Super Bowl with a healthy Tua Tagovailoa?

That’s why he went as far as to say that Tua is the ‘best worst quarterback he’s ever seen’ and say that there’s simply no way he’s going to lead them to a Super Bowl.
Truth be told, Carton’s words should be taken with a grain of salt, as he’s a well-known New York Jets fan and has never given any of his divisional rivals any flowers.
Then again, there are some big concerns regarding Tua’s size and decision-making, not to mention the Dolphins’ blatant inability to protect him and give him any sort of time or space to operate.
On the other hand, Tua did look quite solid in his first year under HC Mike McDaniel, and the Dolphins made the playoffs even with him missing some time with multiple concussions.
Tua still has to prove himself and silence his critics once and for all, and another season under McDaniel’s offense might as be just enough to demonstrate that his team had been right about him all along.
