Minnesota Vikings fans should be jumping for joy after the latest news came out regarding franchise legend Jared Allen.
According to insider Charley Walters, the former All-Pro edge-rusher in Allen is slated to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame the year after next.
“Look for Allen to finally be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame early next year,” Walters recently wrote for the Pioneer Press (via The Purple Persuasion).

Allen has failed to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame each of the last three seasons after first being eligible for induction in 2021.
But, it appears as though the drought could be ending real soon.
The Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor inductee had a remarkable NFL career, especially while in the Twin Cities.
While in Minnesota for six seasons (2008-2013), Allen was one of the most feared players in the entire league.
He recorded 11+ sacks in each of his six seasons.
In 2011, he set the franchise record for sacks with 22.0, which is remembered as one of the great defensive seasons by any player in NFL history.
He was named an All-Pro three times and a Pro-Bowler four times after coming over from the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008.
In the grand scheme of things, Allen was one of the best defenders in the league for close to a decade.
Sooner or later, a player of his caliber was bound to break down the door and enter Canton, Ohio.
His 136 career sacks, 32 forced fumbles, 4 safeties, 171 tackles for loss, and over 225 quarterback hits made him a true legend worthy of a bust in Canton.
