The Golden State Warriors are entering a new era.
Franchise cornerstones Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are both still in the fold, but Klay Thompson is now with the Dallas Mavericks.
After winning four NBA championships in the Bay Area, one of the greatest shooters of all time has found a new home.
Now, the Warriors need to replace him.
This is where a player such as Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen could be a nice fit.
Analyst Jason Timpf of The Volume said he believes the Warriors should include Jonathan Kuminga in a deal for Markkanen.
“If you have to include Kuminga to make a deal like that happen, you include him,” Timpf said.

Markkanen was voted the league’s Most Improved Player two seasons ago after averaging more than 25 points per game and shooting almost 50 percent from the field in his first season with Utah.
Last season, he averaged more than 23 points per game and shot almost 40 percent from 3-point range.
The 7-foot power forward can run the floor and provide ability on both sides of the court.
Whether it is his size on defense or his shooting on offense, the native of Finland is currently one of the league’s most underrated players.
A trade for the All-Star would require some decent capital from the Warriors.
Perhaps a draft pick and young forward Jonathan Kuminga could be attractive pieces to the Jazz.
Time will certainly tell if Golden State decides to pull the trigger on a big deal such as this one.
