The Golden State Warriors have made a few adjustments to their roster already this summer but there are rumors that they could commit to more.

But anyone who is expecting the Warriors to sign New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram might be very disappointed.

Speaking to 95.7 The Game, Anthony Slater said he doesn’t predict the Warriors will try to acquire Ingram.

In fact, he doesn’t think they’ll go after anyone aside from Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz.

“There’s not an obvious, clean fit, like a Lauri Markkanen. What [he] does, his age, his price, I don’t see Brandon Ingram as somebody that they’re dying to necessarily go after,” Slater said.

When the offseason kicked off, Ingram was seen as one of the biggest targets for other NBA teams.

He is 26 years old, still usually healthy, and produced more than 20 points per game.

There are many upsides to Ingram but he hasn’t been moved from New Orleans yet.

One of the biggest reasons for this is because of the price that Ingram demands.

Even with his talent and youth, most teams are weary of agreeing to a big deal for Ingram.

The Pelicans will still have options even if the Warriors don’t angle for Ingram.

Other teams have reportedly shown interest in the All-Star, even if they haven’t been pounding at New Orleans’ door.

However, the Pelicans might elect to keep Ingram if they aren’t offered something exciting for him.

The Warriors probably won’t make a move for Ingram, but will another front office pick up the phone?
