Sunday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles was supposed to be a potential preview of this winter’s NFC Championship Game, and it was supposed to be a game that would be decided in the final minutes.

While the former is still very true, the latter was very far from the truth.

After falling behind 6-0, the 49ers dominated, winning 42-19 and silencing what is usually the nation’s nastiest fan base at Lincoln Financial Field.

They have now seemingly supplanted Philly as the consensus best team in the NFL, and Emmanuel Acho said on FS1’s “Speak” that the gap between Philly and San Francisco is considerably wide.

Acho’s reasoning is that there wasn’t one position where he could say the Eagles were better.

The team’s fans were likely expecting Sunday to be something of a repeat of last season’s NFC Championship Game, 31-7, but Niners quarterback Brock Purdy left that game early with a torn UCL in his throwing elbow.

This time around, both teams were almost at full strength, but the Niners dominated the contest at Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania.

They executed their offense to near perfection, and on defense, not only was their pass rush relentless, but their secondary got the job done and gave Philly quarterback Jalen Hurts few options downfield.

Meanwhile, San Francisco signal-caller Brock Purdy was sensational, completing 19 of 27 passes for 314 yards and four touchdowns.

As a result, more and more people now feel the 49ers are currently the best team in the NFL and possibly the next Super Bowl champions.
